I just remembered why I meant to hang around in town today.

There was a Book Signing of 'Requiem' by Pat Mills at my local Waterstones Bookseller. And now I've gone and missed it.

I know what you mean. I was out doing errands and was about to head to the FLGS when I realized that I'd forgot to pack the box that my army was stowed in. At least I didn't show up and then realize that the whole trip was for nothing.

That is why you need an iPad. It could have reminded you to go to the bookshop.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

By reminding you that it would be way better to have an actual book?
But, I think we're going off topic now

Yeah I've shown up for a game of 40k once or twice to only remember that my HQ is still on the painting table at home
Forgeting stuff sucks. I can put something down, walk away for about five minutes then spend the next hour or so looking for it only to have it sitting there mockingly and in plain view when I give up >_>

Quite often visiting authors will sign a few extra copies which the store will keep on there shelves, so it may not be too late to pick up a signed copy. It won't be personalised but it's better than nothing.

Totally at random I looked in the entertainment pages of the paper last year and saw that Todd McFarlane was coming to the sci-fi/comic convention in town.

Cue Spawn 1 (mint) and Spider Man 1 Silver and Regular covers (near mint) signed by the master himself...

@MDG

You mean you were carrying it around with you all day, looking at it and thinking "there was something I was meant to do with you..."

lol, joking aside that bites, will there be another one nearby that you can go to?
I still remember getting my War of the Machines book signed by Kevin Warwick, man how sad am I! And the worst part ... I've still not read the book and I've had it for 15years give or take lmao
