Jealous that Horus is Warmaster

Hey everyone!

I am in the process of converting some rune priests who i wish to give scythe type wapons to. However, i am stuck as to what to use for the shaft section of the weapon. Does anyone know any good supplies that would work? ie good places to find thin enough wood or plastic tubing?

Thanks, Steve

I'd check the closest FLGS, or hobby/art supply store. You should be able to get plasticard or copper/brass tubing or wire of some sort.

Brass wire for me.

1mm brass rod works well. You can drill out the holding hand and slide it through (start with a smaller bit then work up to a 1mm).

It's what I use for banner poles.

I use lengths of clothes hangers for shafts...

I use plastic or aluminum tubing, just easier to work with that rod or wire.

When I work with brass wire, I use a miniature pipe cutter. It makes for a very clean cut without distortion of the ends, which I then smooth down with a file.
