So with the news of the new dreads and kans I got to wondering how come i never see those used all those often along with a few other units.

For 105 points you can have a dread with 5 attacks I think thats pretty mean for the points. Plus if you take a Big Mek(which I always do) they can be taken as a troop choice.

I do see kanz every so often but those for th emost part always seemed to get skipped over as well. But with there bs of 3. They can be fited to be a pretty cheap decent tank hunter or fitted with grotzookas not to shappy at dealing with large groups of infantry ether.

I can understand why flash gitz and looted wagons get passed over...

Big gunz I think I am the only person that owns any of these. They can make for a great and very cheap anty tank crew. They are a little on the fragile side. But making the crew as big as possible and sitting them as far back as possible they ussually make it threw a whole game.

The battlewagon is nice and there is ussually always one driving around the board.

But why is it that the big gunz Kanz and Dreads always seemed to get passed up?

It must just be your area, cause Dread Bash and Kan Wall lists (both with KFF Mek and footslogging shoota's walking up behind) are both scary, and quite effective.

There's plastic Dredd and Kan kits coming out with Battle Missions in March. Those will probably help make them both show up in lists far more often.

Totally. I've stayed away from dreads because I dislike metal miniatures, but now I anticipate irritating the hell out of my opponents with my Dreadzilla attack!

I have heard nothing good about the metal dread kit, I do not like the way it looks, and I'm not going to pay more than $50 for a kit I will only hate. The Kans are a little better, but I donno, I'll probably just wait for the plastic ones now (I love the idea of a dreadbash list btw! I'm totally running one next year after I build a bunch of these new dreads)

I have no idea what you're talking about with the kans.

Kans, while annoying to assemble, and below the par for walkers, is a cheap, accurate, heavy weapons platform. It must be your local metagame.

Big gunz are average, I prefer the Kanz to them. Deff Dredd's come with all their own problems model-wise, game -wise I find they don't compete with Kans and Wagons for the HS slots, and taken as troops doesn't add anything to them due to not being scoring.

As a spare points sponge or a crazy bit of randomness to throw off opponents, I dolike them, preferably with an extra DCCW and a Skorcha.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

Inside a pretty, pretty pain cave... won't you come inside?

Like a lot of folks, plastic kans/dreads = instawin. I will be getting several and playing dread bash/shooty lists as a significant break from my mech ork lists.

Big Guns... just don't do enough to make me WANT them. They're cheap, they're ok, but instead of a battlewagon? Instead of kans? Maybe in a gunline list, that's it.

The eye of terror.

In my area kans and battlewagons are staples of almost every ork list.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?
