I got a ridiculously good deal on some Necron Destroyers (5 for 60) and now I have one extra sprue I have no immediate use for. I was thinking of converting it to a Heavy destroyer but I can't find the metal gauss cannon bit anywhere (understandably).

Any ideas on how to model a heavy gauss cannon? I have no experience with green stuff or whatever.

I would not use Green Stuff to make a Necron gun, just stick with plasticard. Can use the back of the Gauss Cannon as standard, remove the quad barrels, and replace it with something longer and narrower.

Here's one I made awhile back, used the base of the Heavy Gauss Cannon, but could easily be done with the normal. rod and gun tip are from the Monolith.

I have so many destroyers that I just doubled up the existing "barrels" to make a destroyer.
