Hello everybody thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Alex and I started gaming this past summer 2009. Well not so much gaming but "mustering my forces" for my Dark Angels army. I've known about Warhammer for the better part of 10 years now but haven't really gotten around to collecting, assembling, painting, or playing till this past June/July and even now I haven't really completed the assembly part of the hobby. Still kinda hesitant about gluing parts together without strategizing(sp?) and weighing the possibilities for different units i.e. with or without flamer/melta/plasma gun. I kinda want to get the most out of my money but if I wanted to do that then I probably wouldn't have gotten into WH40K.

See ya guys around.

And computers are about trying to murder you in a lake.

I thought this was hilarious!

Welcome to Dakka, MindTrick! And if you're hesitant about gluing on different unit options, that's actually a good thing! You can find a lot of information about magnetizing arms / guns / etc in the Painting and Modelling forum . I wish I had done this for my Tau... it would have saved a lot of trouble!

Oh yeah, my gouged & pitted fingers and I are very familiar with magnetizing models. Got a bunch of those nifty neodynium magnets off ebay and was able to get through the third model just fine. Then was drilling a pilot hole into an arm and . The bit had slipped and ganked my thumb. A couple of really loud swear words later and after running my thumb under cold water I turned in for the night. So yeah, modeling is fun.
