What pissed me off about making this army was the skull emblem. I went through and made a whole army and failed at painting the skull design on. Then I go on games workshop a couple years later and see that they have silver skull shoulderpads. . .

Yah exactly and there was like one silver skull decal on each decal sheet and I bought a bunch of them and it still wasn't enough. Its a really easy army to paint and I love the emblem but I already am pretty much finished with my army and it would look awkward to put in figures with skulls bulging out of their shoulderpads.

It's quite doable to paint a skull by hand. Try to figure out the basic shapes:
- top part is circle
- eyes are triangles
- cheekbones are bigger eye triangles
- bottom part is rectangle below cheekbones.

Next you try it out 10 times on paper to get a feel for the shape. After that you do the outline with a pencil on your model and slowly fill in the shapes with paint.

Yah I realized that now but the shoulderpads definitely would have been a greater help. thanks for the tip. I'll try it.

Indeed. We feel your pain etc etc but this board is really for discussion and dissection of army lists.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
