Just trying to find out a little something about Warmaster. Been looking at the rulebook on-line and it seems like a really solid, tight little system. I'm interested in running a small Khemrian force.

I guess the Undead force in the rulebook represents Khemri. Would that be accurate?

What is a typical game size? 2000pts?

How does it play in your experience?

Yes, undead equal khemri in WarMaster. Typical points level we used to play (it's been 5-6 years) at the LGS was 2000 pts. Lower than that and you don't get the full coolness of commanding an army and the individual army lists don't work quite as well. It may not be the perfect point total for gaming but it made you feel like you had a substantial force without also having to play for 12 hours.

The game is very well done and the first 6 or so armies (the ones that came in the main book) are pretty decently balanced. As with anything, somebody can build a killer force and a crap force list is also possible. It's a nice mix of skill and luck with the command rolls and all that. It's a great game.

Great gae, as simple as that- involves lots of tactics and doesn't rely that much on luck.
