Ok, GW released some roster sheets yesterday, one of which was for 40K. I noticed a lot of people through out the online community raving about them.

I pose the question... Whose roster sheet do like best?

Mine - Pit of the Oni

I prefer yours, it's much more clear. The GW one is decent, and it's good to see GW doing something like this, but the layout of it leaves much to be desired. Yours is simple, and has the advantage of being fillable on a PC without having to print it off first.

Yours. GW's with the green/grey background plays hell with my ink.

I don't think the comparison needs to be made, yours is definitely better but the thread made me discover it, it is AWESOME.

Yours lacks a spot for the upgrade characters, and the wargear section is not as big. Yours does not total how many models in each unit. Furthermore, Games Workshop's roster has a far better aesthetic look about it.

There's the criticism part of my post. Now time for construction:

Firstly, kill the notes and the force-org graphic. They take up precious space.

Secondly, add a small "#" column for the number of units in the column.

Thirdly, change Wargear to Additional Models (e.g. Snikrot) and put the wargear on a second line.

Alternatively, relabel "Wargear" as additional Options and put the upgrade character in there. Only optionally selected wargear will be placed there, lessening the amount required to be inputted.

As for aesthetics, why not provide multiple backgrounds people can choose from? Some for each army. Also, can I recommend lowering the transparency of the background and instead upping the transparency for the text boxes/tables? That tends to give it a more focused look.
