Here's most of my work so far on my desert themed lizardmen. Temple guard aren't done enough to take pics yet.

Critique is always welcome, give me hell.

Oh sweet! Desert lizards ftw! I love how you did the shields and the standards.

I like them a lot! - especially the dark contrast lines (probably a little too wash?)

whether you did it on purpose or not, the style reminds me of the Skags from Borderlands.

just get those bases sorted asap, then you're army will look great.

keep up the good work!

Lets face it, by the sounds of things some of you people couldn't complete a game of snakes and ladders without running off to the internet to whine that snakes are broken and ladders are too powerful...-Hymirl

Pfft, Treadheads ! All the gear and no idea! You'll only end scattering and blow up a shrine to the God-Emprah!

Basing is always the very last thing I do with an army, and I'll do it all in a single day.

Never played borderlands, so not sure on the reference there.

The total scheme is:
Prime floquil grey primer
base skin with khemri brown, scales with dheneb stone
wash all with devlan mud
highlight skin with dheneb stone, scales with bleached bone
touch up metal with black, and then Reaper Dragon Gold(best dark gold out there)
Then wash the whole thing with Gryphonne Sepia, and the metal with devlan mud.

Shields and weapons get a full wash of devlan mud. Eventually I will get around to adding eyes to each of them.

I use this same scheme on all models, perhaps with the exception of my yet to be painted slann. So all my terradons will have a very similar scheme.

You may need to put some gs scales on the slaan so they won't look so frog like. If they lived in the desert the slaan would dry up in a half hour.

I'm thinking of just using my Lord Kroak model, but I still need to think up a way of making him stand out at least a little.

:O :O :O I freaking love it. I like how noticable the scales are on this army, it just really pops out! Nicely done. I completely agree with using lord Kroak... I think with him being a bony type guy with your paint scheme he will pop out well enough! Hard to miss a skeletal frog imho!!!!

Incredible. Simply incredible.

When I start my Lizzie army, I'm going to have to flagrantly steal that paint scheme.

LOVE IT. I like lizardmen (but will never play fantasy battle again) and these look GREAT. Kudos!

That is an extremely high standard to paint an entire army to. Well done.
