First the background. As I mentioned in This thread, I'm interested in running a 'Jack heavy Menoth list with Amon as my 'Caster. I then followed up with this thread explaining why I wanted an opposing force (OpFor) and why I wanted it to be an infantry heavy Khador force.

This is the force I'd come up with based on advice here and on BattleCollege. Would it match up well with the Menoth force in the link for casual games?

Army: Khador OpFor
Type: Duel (1 caster, 35pts)
Points: 35
Forward Kommander Sorscha (*6pts)
* Beast-09 (11pts)
* War dog (1pts)
Man-o-war Demolition Corps (Leader and 4 Grunts) (9pts)
Man-o-war Shocktroopers (Leader and 2 Grunts) (6pts)
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts) (4pts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard (2pts)
Manhunter (2pts)

I think dropping the shocktroopers and andding a mortar (or maybe even 2) would be a nice addition. Maybe if points permit add kovnik joe (the winterguard solo) as he will really add to the winterguard...

other then that I see no reason for not taking this list in casual games...

I've been playing Khador since 2003 and have plenty of experience with both Sorschas.

If you are going to bring Winterguard then you should make the investment to include Kovnik Jozef and at least on Rocketeer if not two.

E Sorschas feat is double damage that exceeds the armor so you need to make max use out of that feat. Rocket Brutal damage in combination to CRA is going to wreck plenty.

I agree above with dropping the MoW ST. That would pay for Jozef and Rocketteers. MoW Demo, leave that to your choice but it does slow the pace of your army down. Personally I'd go for Greatbears then use the leftover for a mortar.

drop the demo corp. max out the storm troopers, get a mortar, or yuri, or joe and a rokkit

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

+1 Joe + rocket, and a mortar. Drop MOWSTs. I would go for an old-fashioned Iron Rain army (throw in some Greylords and maybe a koldun lord) but that's just me. YMMV.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

You do like men o war huh

I do to by the wat, they look grat and have high defense and wounds, which makes them hard to shift...

I would say try the list as it looks like it has a bit of everything. When played reevaluate and see if the shooting and or combat potential was enough... (maybe use proxys if you are trying out, just to avoid unnescesary expenses...
