i have seen in another tread its possible to link IG with DH/WH with is kinda why i signed up to ask that very question so thanks

but i have another, to what ratio should the army be split into? say 50/50 or does it need to be more IG heavy than DM say 70/30? and do most players and tornaments allow you to have DH/WH in another army? thanks for any help

Read the DH/WH codex and you'll find all your answers.

There are specific rules for allying the DH/WH with other armies laid out in those codexes.

I would recommend having a browse through those codexes before making any plans.
