I used Vulcan for the first time today, and there was a rule confusion between me and my buddies.

The rule reads:

"If you include He'Stan than all units in your army loose Combat Tactics special rule. Instead, all thunder hammers in your army will count as master-crafted, and all flamers, heavy flamers, melta guns and multi meltas count as twin-linked."

Would this twin linked effect, be used on my Dreadnought Multi Melta? It says ALL in my army. Not just "Those troops who have Combat Tactics".

Yes.

All of those weapons are twin linked.

Awesome thanks. Thats what I was assuming, but since you replaced the Combat Tactics for it, it caused some confusion. Thanks for the speedy response!

If you need "proof", check the wording out on Khans rule. That rules specifically states that only the models who lost combat tactics (as well as a few extra listed units) get the benefit.

Vulkan on the other hand just makes everyone lose Combat Tactics and mastercrafts/twin links all the TH/Melta, no need for them to have lost CT.

If you need to, point out that though the implication of the rule is 'replace combat tactics', the wording is 'lose combat tactics on all units. Everything gets twin linked/mastercrafted buffs'

You could even take some Inquisitor Storm Troops as allies, and their Meltaguns/Flamers would be twin-linked aswell.
