Ok so I recently got a bunch more warriors and decided I would like to try this for a 2250... 75 Warriors... odviously theres no room for other stuff besides heroes so its quite boring... but hard to take down eh? Im not too sure how well it would work at all, and Im almost tempted to just take out the Lord for a 3rd exalted and gear them all out as that would save me 100 points... thoughts? Part of me says this is brutal and a douche move cause seriously? 75 Warriors? But the other part of me says ummm, Im going to get baited then burnt down by magic and shooting...

I say go for it! I wish there was a simple way to keep march blockers off you - with WoC there really isn't, as spawn are the only quasi-speedy 360 chargers that aren't Valkia - but whatever, your turns are going to be QUICK Seriously though, I've faced armies with 3x khorne warriors and suffered pretty solidly. That much frenzy is hard to bait very well, and its difficult to turn those warrior's flanks effectively since they're all in support of each other. Personally, I'd cut into the lord's runesword a bit to make points for other toys, and to even things up a bit:

L: Lord - MoK, sword of might, roar, enchanted shield = 280

H: Sorcerer - 2 scrolls = 135

- lord still bad-ass with S6, has roar to give you a dominating shooting phase
- banner of rage on a warrior block so the sorcerer gets to fight too
- 2250 on the dot

Frankly I think you'd be pretty ok maning up and dropping the sorcerer for 3x 5 warhounds + a spot of gear for the heroes*, but at least a rage sorcerer has as many attaks as his stouter brothers. The extra anti-magic will help negate a couple enemy-moving-around spells, which are your bigger concern, as warriors (a bunch with MR(2)) can whether direct damage pretty well.

*2x spawn maybe? Fun to model, and they're a spot tougher to splatter than puppies. Also, maybe catching march blockers?

Yeah, Ive thoguht about dropping the sorcerer, I figure hell, with my normal army running 3 units of 15, even when I loose some warriors I wreck face in combat, imagine if i got all 3 units into combat at full str... oh wait, now I can! So even if I lost 2 ENTIRE units to magic, I would still manage to overwhelm the opponent in combat. So I think I might do just that.

So would would you suggest I do if I say took the spawns instead? Ive never used them before and I have over 5 of them at my disposal So Im not for sure on what to do there. I will admit, the one thing I will miss big time in this list is the jugger lord, but hell! Ive got 30 more warriors then I was using before!

How to use them? Not 100% sure myself, as I always support spawn and want to use them, but my rare slots get eaten up by bigger gribblies or my points go elsewhere 2 spawn are more interesting to me than ~20 warhounds though! I'd imagine that if you see great eagles or other irritating march blockers on the other side, then the spawn lurk behind your warrior blocks and just keep bumping into them (i.e. try to move into the warriors, and stop 1" away) until the march blockers flit over and then see if the spawn feel like pouncing. Alternatively they could gribble ahead and try to assassinate enemy casters, or shamble (probably unsuccessfully) after war machines or whatever. Fun times!

A more boring route would be to split the difference:

Hmm, I'll admit that I like that one better. You get 1 extra-buff spawn to faff around and jump on birdies, and 2 units of dogs to do their 100 terrible jobs that dogs are made for. w00t for utility troops?

EDIT: I say keep the banner of rage around anyway, always nice to have your lord grinding along until dead.

Cool deal, I will definitely try out that second list, Im also going to very enjoy not having a sorcerer irritate my armies fluffy kharnath praising (damn magic) so Ill finally have a fully devouted khorne army...if only you could make warhounds fleshhounds....

I would increase the number of units you have. Drop the warriors down to units of 12 and you can probably afford another unit.

Also I would drop the lord to exulted and give the BSB the stubborn banner. He will help prevent your flank from being blitzed and everyone around him can hold against any charge.

This list actually has more units than my normal one which has only 3 units of warriors (same size), 2 hound units and knights... The thing is that Warriors are bloody hard to kill and personally I have a major dislike for running 12... All it takes is a couple killed before I get into combat (which is likely to happen) and there goes all my ranks for static combat res... at least with 15 I can lose 5 and still get a rank... 45 is nothing to laugh about and 75 isnt much better... in fact its kind of devious I think... I cant wait to actually try the list!

I'd probably give the stubborn banner to the bsb and keep him hidden from dangerous stuff (perhaps give him a pony for speed and extra save). That should make the warriors a lot more resistant to flank charges and stuff if you keep the bsb placed well. Couple of spawn wouldn't hurt, they are good at getting rid of cheap redirectors and the like if not shot to death. I'd also give the lord either regenration or the armor of damnation for extra protection.

Well there in lies a problem, I cant add a few spawns, give the stubborn banner, and give the lord more gear. Thats a couple hundred more points which would mean I would have to drop warriors thus defeating the theme of more warriors than I would assume anyone hopes to see in 2250.

EDIT: Im definitely going to try this list a few different ways but I would really enjoy keeping all 75 warriors for the sake of theme

You could drop 1 exalted to get points for the banner & some extra chaff. *shrug*

You can make a pseudo Khorne sorcerer by mounting one on a Khorne Chariot. He gets the effects.
