I must confess I know very little about Sweden in general, few decent footballers and managers over the years..that's about it really as far as my casual knowledge of the country goes. But, in general, is your TV always this fething bizarre ?

It was a sketch during a tv-show called "melodifestivalen" where singers compete against other singers
to represent sweden in the "Eurovision song contest" and hopefully win it.
The show has some 3 million viewers every saturday( sweden has currently 9-10 million citizens)
so its a big thing each year here in sweden. I absolutely HATE the kind of music they sing, arghhh
Ah, as soon as you said "Eurovision" I understood your pain on an empathic level.

I've been to Stockholm to film an interview. Great place, loved it!
Everyone speaks perfect English, which is good if like me your Swedish amounts to "Hej" and "Tack". The downside is, if you are English and live there, you will never learn Swedish.
