This list is all core choices and characters. It won't win, but it would be fun and fast.

Orion w/ 2 hounds = 605
Highborn - dragon, murder of spites, spear of twilight, stone of crystal mere, LA, enchanted shield = 563
Noble - wild rider, stag, oaken armor = 210
Spellsinger - glamourweave, steed, 2x dispel scrolls = 172

5x5 Glade Riders w/ musicians = 645
5x5 Wild Riders w/ musicians and standard bearers. Plus two Wild Hunters and a banner of the zenith = 801

Total = 2996

I like it, I've never played an Orion list but I have been tempted to get the model and play one.

With the Wild Riders, have you considered making them into 4 units of 6 or so, but add banners + warbanner on one?

I find the 6 hits harder, and is more durable and the banners help them break the units they charge.

Basically, I picked up a bunch of upgrades at the cost of one unit of glade riders. I was really trying to put the spellsinger on a unicorn, but oh well.

I don't think it's necessary with the other magic banners (+1 CR is quite good itself) but if you can make it work that's good.

I've not used the other banners myself, only the Warbanner for magic ones.

I'm not sure about dropping more glade guard - they're the only unit that can flee apart from your Dragon so you lose more versatility for more killy power, but there's nuts that even Wild Riders can't crack.

Maybe I will just stick with the first list and use the war banner instead. I completely forgot about it, because I was just looking at the WE banners. I would still have 2 units with 6 models and another one with the banner for extra power.

It doesn't really matter, I don't have the models anyway. I would need at least 25 more riders and orion. Maybe I can go with a calvary heavy 2k list? Will look into it later.

This is a great idea! I was just running some of the number through Army Builder for a 2250 list- you could definitely fit the noble, 2 spellsingers, 5 or 6 units of glade riders, and 4 units of wild riders in there. For a 2k list, you would probably just need to drop 2 units of glade riders, or 1 unit and some of the upgrades.

That would a very fun list to play, and awesome to look at

I wouldn't include the alter noble in the 1500 point list- it's a shame to have a model on foot, when everything else is mounted!

I was looking at 2k-2250 lists with no dragon, but you definitely can fit it in there if it fits the theme you're going for. I just love the idea of an all-calvary WE army Very cool!

Until you see him keep pace with the mounts. I have always liked the alter kindred.

I think I am going to make a 500 and 1000 point lists, too. I hear my FLGS plays on Sundays, increasing by 500pts and going to 2k before starting over again. Maybe if I only concentrate on 500 at a time I might actually get something done.

The Alter Noble is one of the best units we have in the army, at any point level, especially with the gear listed. I've never used Orion, so I would be interested in seeing how it works in the armies you are envisioning.
