This isnt a Rock, Paper, Sissors Topic There are many reasons but on has more pros than the rest therefore makiing it best in this thread.

I think Waaaaagh! Magic It helps you troops get places (Waaaagh) and is one of the best agressively (Gorks Warpath).

Death. It's easily available, and has a nice mix of damagae and psychology spells.

Death. It kicks butt hard. It has lots of very powerful spells and some pshycology too.

I don't think that waaaghh magic is that good. I would like O&G to be able to take a normal lore. There isn't really any good damaging spells and only a few good ones, waaaghh being one of the few.

I personally like Lore of Beasts. It's a nice mix of support and damage. The Wolf Hunts is one of my favourites as it allows a unit to charge in the magic phase.

ICE!

(Death. I was tempted to go with dark, but death really is a great mix of evil stuff.)

I would note that there are in fact 7 chaos lores (WoC T,N,S; DoC T,N,S; Beasts) and 2 skaven ones (ruin, plague) ...

I would say TK, but it's not on the list. It cant miscast, and has fantastic utility.

I chose Chaos - specifically, I mean Tzeentch magic. I'm a big fan of most of the spells, and with 3-4 Sorcerers, I usually wreck any list without adequate magical protection.

Speaking of magic protection, dwarves are best at that. Thought i'd mention it, since dwarves won't get any glory in this thread (poor stout ones).

I would say

Best Magic Defense: High Magic.

Best Offensive Magic: Fire

Best Buffing Magic: Incantations

however, I have not used any other lore other than the 3 posted so I dunno how good they are. I use my friends rulebook not my own, when we play lol
