I just finished up 1000pts of my Deathwing army. It's the Disciples of Caliban successor to Dark Angels. Here it is:












I'm still working on expanding the army but that's what I have built and painted right now. I also have a blog of the work I've been completing over here. Let me know what you think.

Edit: I forgot to mention that many of the arms are magnetized though I don't have any pictures that really show it. The Belial stand in has two arms as you can see, the Sword of Silence/Storm Bolter and Lightning claws, but the Assault Squad has fully magnetized arms ans much of the shooty squad does as well, especially the heavy weapons so I can swap them out if I want to. I have yet to include the possibility for an Apothecary or a Banner yet but in 1000pts they're a bit expensive to include so I put them off.

Very cool. I like the modded WitD (Watchers in the dark).

Couple minor quibbles--the Crusader needs its free multimelta, and I'd strongly suggest either drilling out the gun barrels or at least painting black spots on 'em.

Other than that, nicely done.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I may paint a dot on the barrel if I do anything, I tried to drill some test stuff and it was hard to keep it centered and much easier to paint. As for the decal on the raider, I printed out an enlarged Disciples of Caliban symbol, cut it out, and traced it onto the side before I painted so that made it much easier.

CatPeeler: I have the mutli-melta set aside to prime up, not sure why I didn't put it on to begin with. I'll glue it on once I get it primed. For some reason it always takes me a while to get around to priming stuff.

DarkAngelsRK: I had fun making them, they were actually my first go at using green stuff and I think it worked out pretty well. They're wound counters for my Belial equivalent, Salmac.

Dan22 Thanks! I love the Dark Angels lore. The combination of green and black of the Disciples called to me and I fell in love once I found out about the Deathwing. I may add in some Ravenwing components too at higher points.
