If my dragon slayer has the master rune of smiting and causes 2 unsaved wounds which turn into 8 wounds, does the opponent remove 8 models then?

You can NEVER cause more wounds to a model than the model has, see the BRB. So against single wound models the most wounds you can cause from an unsaved wound is 1 per model hit.

WHen you multiply wounds you are more grievously wounding THAT model, not somehow wounding poor bob standing behind him.

On the perfumed wind

The only time this would be useful on single wound models is when going for maximum overkill on a champion or other single wound model in a challenge.

Of course, it's also pretty nice against ogres/minotaurs and that sort of thing.
