I received an order from fw yesterday (my first since last summer) and, if it wasn't a fluke, then they've sorted themselves out.
Order was placed on Wednesday and received on Friday. Much better than the 2-4 weeks it used to take.
Quality was excellent - minimum mould lines and flash, no excessive warping and the rivet bubble daemon seems to have been banished. (well almost, two in approx £400 of tank parts).

Must be a new mold then.
The older and more used the mold is, the more crap that happens to the casting.
You got lucky. Go buy a lottery ticket.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I'm well aware of that. I ordered multiples of seven different items - all were good and delivered promptly.
I guess that having stock of stuff rather than running about casting one's and two's for customer orders lets them keep a better eye on their QC?

Problem is they do keep a stock of stuff...y'know, the popular, everyday stuff that people field.
Dreadnoughts, door kits, etc.
The only things that aren't kept as regular stock are Titans, Mantas, and the Imperial Fortress.
