That list looks oddly familiar . I was trying to justify taking Taurox in my list but its just too situational for me. I mean with the number of attacks that can be thrown out getting a 6 to hit and 6 to wound doesn't seem that too hard to get. He is a badass character though.

I made this list to post as something you should consider, but didn't want to hijack your thread.
Remember that not only does the enemy have to get a 6 to hit, then a 6 to wound, ( a 1/36 chance) but you also have to fail your armor save.
Meaning against a str 3 or 4 opponent the odds are 1/216, STR 5 is a .9% chance, STR 6 is a 1.3% chance, and str 7 is a 1.8% chance......
In short, the odds of the enemy getting a 6 to hit, a 6 to wound, and you failing your save, all with the same attack, is slim to none

Ahh ok, well when you put math to it, it does seem a bit more doable. There are more minotaurs here for sure, a question about the brasas cleaver though. In writing it seems really cool. In practice it seems like it would be very hard to get more than 2-3 models in base contact with him, although i guess on a gorebull with 4 attacks base another 2-3 attacks wouldnt be a bad thing. I suppose he could easily wipe out an entire front line w/o any worry of return attacks. Thank you for the posted list though. I was trying to work in some chaos hounds in mine but couldnt find the points for it.
Is the loss of a BSB going to effect much here? I also notice the lack of Bloodkines in 3 of the minotaur units. Is the extra attack from him not worth the cost in points? I also had a question about command in the Mino units, it seems like it just not worth it but maybe theres something im missing?
I appreciate the help here big time.

I like the idea, too bad Minos aren't core anymore with a Doombull. Have you considered taking at least on unit of them with addition hand weapons? All the better to chew through a infantry block with. Another thing to do might be to take one more hound and take them as three units of five. That would screen the minos a bit better as they are going to be a magnet for arrows and magic. Good on you for taking Taurxon, not only is he badass but he'll be easy to paint! I am a bit skeptical about no BSB though... I can't imagine that it would make too much a difference in the end though... All in all, I think it's going to be fun to field.

Im not sure its really needed, you're already getting 9 attacks out of three models which is more than enough to clear out most anything that could retaliate against you. Not to mention you get the flexibility to throw them at larger things with added strength from the GW.

True facts. Blocks with larger numbers are going to have much more static res, a few extra kills will help balance that out a bit. More S5 attacks are going to just as nice as fewer S7 ones.

Here's my thought- the great weapons make them a real threat to big nasties and most characters. As a dwarf player, I'd rather see hand weapons. There at least he's needing 3s to wound, and I've got 5s to save. Against great weapons, that's 2s and no save.
I guess it's overkill on toughness 3 infantry, but as long as you're winning combat, you're getting an extra attack next turn anyways.

At base S5 Minos would need 2+ to wound a T3 foe (and they are going to hit half or more attacks, on average, with WS4). That's also going to knock two points off an armour save. Even against a T4 foe it needs a 3+... Those are fantastic odds. GW are going to deny more save but most block infantry aren't going to have an armour save higher than a 4+ or 5+. Their static res is going to be what the unit has to over come, more kills with add. hands will do that. Personally, I would take two of each. Keep the GW on the flanks to deal with cavalry, chariots and the like; then keep that add. hands towards the center/across from blocks.
