Hey guys. I have been burnt out on painting my armies, so I started venturing into some of the GW terrains. I had so much fun painting terrain that I actually experimented in doing some scratch built stuff. The first thing I had to do was an Asrai waystone of course. The glue is not yet dried, but I couldn’t wait to get your input for the next one I do. So please tell me what you think of my first attempt at a scratch built waystone.

I don’t particularly like the lichen I used. It worked out fine for the ground moss, but way to hard to get it to stick to the waystone itself.

looks good. I would suggest instead of the lichen on the stone, Using an old brush(since this could wreak it) paint on a 80/20 mix of white glue and water(you want it thick enough not to run to much but thin enough to spread easy) then just pour some green flock on it. should give you a good mossy look.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere and somewhere hearts are light,and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout but there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.

Thanks for the advice, I will try that. Other then the lichen on the waystone itself I am very happy with it.
