I have played 40k for quiet a while now, and have decided on a 2nd army. I have chosen tau and am a bit confused on something. Do the shield Drones give the unit they are attached to I.E Crisis suit units or a HQ a 4+ invo save Or is that save only for the Drone itself? And if for the drone itself.. what good is the drone if it only provides a invo save for itself. Any help i would appreciate and thank you.

The save is for the drone itself, and it means you can allocate any wounds against that drone that would worry your commander...

Thank you greatly for the info. I'm trying to make a "suit" heavy list filled out with fire warriors for my first attempt. I can't believe how different this codex is from SM lol.
