I like the use of the melta turret on top instead of the pintle mount. The idea of pin-ups on vehicles is a cool retro idea, but I think you may have overdone it a little. The average bomber in WW2 had Bettie Page on the side of it, not a whole Maxim spread!

From what I can tell you also did a black wash on the vehicle. You should limit these to recesses when washing vehicles, or else you'll get some nasty pooling. That's still a very strong red though - how did you get it? I also like the Empire/Pig Iron guy on top.

Thanks. The reason for the "spread" was just that i was curious to see how many i could put on there (a challenge given to mye by a friend). I really liked the idea of a turret versus the pintle mount, mostly because think it's a little more threatening in appearance. yes i did wash it with a black wash, but i like the pooling becuase i'm painting my marines with a gritty grimy scheme over their armour. the red is blood red over mechrite red. the guy ontop is a chapter serf, all my vehicles have them.

Yea, I could see a single woman along the side a lá WW2 Bombers, but it's way overdone and looks a bit too anime-ish.

Nice freehand work! It's a fun look.

Some Japanese modellers have been working in the same direction.

I wouldn't dare freehand it myself, however this decal sheet shows there are some commercial products available.

It wouldn't be hard to print some anime or WW2 pinups onto transfer paper. The difficult bit would be applying such a large transfer to a kit.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

lol awesome!

I would /facepalm if I ever saw that on a 40k table, but otherwise I'm all for originality.

As for the OP I say make it how you like man. Nitty Gritty with Manga all over it, more power to you!

My only suggestion is to keep practicing and dial-in on your focus points to draw the lookers attention. If you want to keep going with the mural idea then focus on that and keep your attention around that to really make it pop! Change the color scheme of your (next) vehicle to match the pictures and brighten it up some. Or if you want to do nitty gritty try images to match maybe (you know bad girls).

This is just my opinion though.. do what you like man

Can't say I'm a fan of the pin-ups on a marine vehicle, as they don't really seem to fit... but they do look well done.

The melta turret is a nice idea, but I think it would look better with a shorter barrel. Meltas don't tend to have extended barrels, so opponents might find it a little confusing working out what it's supposed to be.

Something creepy about Japanese fascination with schoolgirls in provocative poses.

Oh and as for the pin-ups on the land raider, you are aware that SM's are genetically enhanced supermen with absolutely no interest whatsoever in the female of the species right? Whilst the paint jobs are very well executed unless it's in a Slaaneshi army they have no place on SM equipment.

Nice work on the pin-ups, but I can't say I agree with the number of them on the tank, makes it look too busy. I think one on each side would have been plenty.

I agree; you need to make it a nice, even number.

Perhaps zero?

Love the concept, but I'll chime in that it's too busy as well. Stick with one (Or maybe at most two) per side and I think you'll have a much more powerful piece.

The guys up top are kind of lost in the color too. Not sure how you could contrast them more, but they're basically swallowed up in all the read - very hard to make out the details. I'm a big fan of high contrast though, so it's just my opinion.

Love the red.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

If I were you I would stick with the two that are on the Hurricane Bolters' plating and paint over the others.

I agree with the above posters, too many pinups are distracting. One or two would be awesome!

thank you to everyone who critiqued and commented on this. This was a one of a kind project, i have normally have a limit of one per vehicle this was just a something i thought would be fun to try once.

Personally I don't like the idea at all. It's not 40k-ish at all, and I don't like the "pin-ups" anyhow...
