I just started wondering if people on dakka have facebook profiles, and if so, if they would like to friend others dakkites on facebook?

If so, provide your profile name and what your pic looks like.

Perhaps you'd be better off starting a Dakka page on Facebook.

Or alternatively, put your Facebook link as your "webpage".

I do too, and most of my pics in the show yourself thread come from my fb.

I really do not see the attraction of things like Facebook and Bebo and myspace. I certainly don't care, why should you?

True, but useful in the sense of using it as a social enabler and using it in the sense of a form of free advertising are different.

I no longer have a facebook page.

Considering that 95% of my 'friends' were people I know and socialise with anyway, it was unnecessary.

I only had it so that I could find some friends in other states that I had lost contact details for (due to them moving or me moving).

Facebook is essential to my continued existence. Most of my close friends live either half-way across this country, or in another one.

Plus--no better way to annoy the hell out of former guildmates from Warcraft than pinging them with a message during raidtimes and forcing a RTD.

Took some peoples adivce, and made the group. It is open to anybody who wishes to join up, and memebers are needed.

Preferably someone who actually knows how to do all the cool stuff for the groups.
