If I was you I would pose the Trygon in a more dynamic pose - twisting around the pattle, bursting up from the ground.
Other than that,I love the diorama so far, can't wait to see more!

The base is very good ,
but if this is meant to be a Diorama or a Fight Scene , then its ... (forgive me... ) lacking something essential.

Such as?
If you mean actual combat, I disagree. First, because the marine does seem to be shooting, and second, because not every dio has to have actual combat in it.

For diorama to be effective , there has to be a certain minimal amount of interaction between the subject and the surrounding. There are none.

For the 2 subject to be looking at each other like that , i doubt they dont belong to the same diorama or "scene" which i assume they indeed are related.

For a scene to be noted of the effort displayed , there should be some degree of conversion to make the 2 subjects "interact with each other" instead of 2 original posed figures plainly facing each other.

By all means im not saying i can do better ( infact i CANT ) , but i strongly believe that OP have the capabilities of improving this project , and the whole thing would
benefit if the points above are considered.

Further more , a diorama should be considered as a picture that can be worth of a thousand words. But how about taking it further , to tell a tale?
For example , why are they leisurely facing each other like that? what could lead to that?

Is it perhaps missing a floor littered with dead gants between the 2 , which this story shows what leads to this "Final Showdown"
or
Perhaps the Trygon have bursted through some walls , perhaps through the floor , snatched /ate / slash / squash / impale some of the librarian's comrades now its reeling up like a cobra ready to strike like its dinner time?

Its missing the needed element to bring a dramatic effect to the whole thing ( because no doubt there has been effort put into this piece via the base so far atleast ).
Those 2 ideas above are listed in consideration to incase OP want to keep the pose it is.

Hope what i said made some sense :'P

Thanks for your criticism...

What to do you think about the idea to add an extremly wounded space marine to the scene?

I can sense an epic Diorama in the making, especially with the positive criticism early on.
