As a conversion project, I'm looking at doing 750~1000 pts of dark eldar, but I've never even played against them so I've got no idea about builds or tactics other than they are fast and fragile. I'm hoping someone can enlighten me.

Get a bunch of transports. And by a bunch I mean have 1 transport per squad of infantry. For objective games, hold part of them in reserve, slowly phase in and suddenly turbo to the objectives. I hate DE so much.

Anyways, a lot of mobility is what I've seen in the past.

Yeah, I've noticed a trend towards symmetry in DE armies. Any experts know which units or wargear NOT to take?

*EDIT* I will give 1,000,000 internets to the man who can devise a 1000pts list for me as a guideline for what models to buy/make.

That actually fully depends on what type of build he's going for. DE Gunline can do quite functionally with footsloggin' squads and even in more assault oriented builds there are those who swear by Warp Beasts.

I found the articles quite enlightening, Thor. (or would that be enDARKening?

) I'm probably going to go for a raider rush formation while keeping my options open and making a few extra models so I can play a different style if I wish. Now, on to the next stage, converting something plastic into wyches.

I've seen some pretty good work done with kitbashes of Wood Elf Glade Guardians and also with the plastic Daemonettes (greenstuffed in the secondary boob-age)

I was thinking daemonettes. I already have twenty because was using the claws for tyranids. Perhaps put corsair legs on them. The're sort of stocking-ish, those big boots.
