My friend and I started on an orks army recently, well to be fair I had orks and we decided to add more orks and sharing the wealth so to speak. This is the rough idea we had for our warboss after going through both our bitboxes. Its the Black reach war-boss body. With a stickbomb sack hanging from his side. I already chopped of his powerklaw for another conversion and so i will replace it with a nob arm with a slugga, and a bit of greenstuff to power up the arm. Since he has a cybork body i'm giving him the plastic nob head with the bionics and a big fat gob. Then for the arm my friend had this really cool but slightly oversized claw from a CRYX leviathan which we intend to use as a massive powerklaw. The end result i hope should be like the sketch which my friend made, I'm probably going to base him while hes pulverizing some kind of wall or something in his way with the claw. I'm having the gun slightly angled so it looks like he's shooting gangsta style which explains his crappy ballistic skill. The big question is, do you guys think the claw will be to big?

Well the actual size for the claw is a bit bigger then pictured i believe. I'm not sure why it was draw that small. My friend drew the picture and i think it reasonably conveys what i think it will look like. but the actual claw is bigger and a bit longer.

Well if you guys pull off even half of the coolness of the picture, itll look pretty cool. Also your friend is pretty damn good at drawing. He should draw my boss Unta for me. You know, for me being a fellow Ork and all lol

Looks good aside from two things.

He's too small to be a boss, with that shoota n all, he looks like a nob to me.

Also, why is he doing 'the teapot' with his powerclaw?

You could think about adding 2 banner poles on his back and put some orky symbols on there to give him more height and he should stand out from the rest of your army

The body should be based off the AOBR Ork boss though.

That klaw is way too dinky for a proppa Warboss. If he's going to have bionics, make sure they're beefy enough for an Ork!

I like the picture. But make the arm huge and savage and orky. BTW that pic should be in a 40k colouring book.

My list then defies both no brainers ! No PK nobz in my boyz mobs or squigs on my warbosses! I really don't like squigs so even for the extra attack they are not my thing. To compensate i gave the both the nob squads my bosses ride with an extra powerklaw. which is more pk attacks for less of the price!

The illustration is not a final pose, its just to show the bits were using in good detail. The claw eventually was posed pushing over an imperial lamp post like thing i found in my bits box. As for small.This is no nob! Its a proper beefy warboss with a big base that hes in the process of trashing.

Hes fine without any banners. Tha Boss wants to be the first into combat so hes running far to much to carry a laundry rack on his shoulders! His brother (My biker warboss) Has a bike to get him there, so he can't fall behind

The claw comes from a warjack. Now its on the model I can definitively CRUSH TO DEATH any conceptions that it is to small for him. Its dead 'ard, supaa killy and nice an 'uge!

Anyways! as i already let on. The model is finished due to working on it until 2 am! However events have conspired against bringing you picures. One of them is winter and the short hours of daylight, as I have no light box yet! And the second is that I borked my camera and if i'm gonna take a decent picture it will have to be outside!. So pictures comming tomorrow. However this does give me time to paint him a bit!

Seriously you want to give any nob leading a mob a PK. Not giving a squig to a boss, thats a flavor thing I guess. I always take one but thats me (and most Ork players)

But seriously, youll realize REALLY FAST that the ability of having a PK in every mob on the table is a priceless one

Well even if you don't like squigs, you could just use something else as a counts as squig.... Like it doesn't have to be a squig, it could be a snotling with a chainsaw riding on his backpack or an extra robotic arm, or whatever really.

PKs needed on Nobz leading Boyz, because otherwise you are gonna be stuck in CC with dreadnaughts FOREVER, and have no real ability to kill vehicles.

Made a few adjustments based on the comments given here. decided that more footslogging nobs would beat the 5 biker nobs so there we go. It will also be interesting modeling Zagstrukk. Maybe I should turn this into a blog instead?

Is this a Snakebite army?

The reason I ask is that if there's no real reason that you don't have 2 battlewagons I would suggest that you drop some Stormboyz and Get them. Battlecannons and things of that ilk will really put a hurting on your nobz.
