Hi, I just got a quick question:
When DoM drain life from ork boyz do they roll the LD test on their normal Ld (7), or their Mob leadership (the substitute for leadership they gain from the special rule "Mob Rule"?
|
Picture an anteater beeing eaten by an ant. Musn´t that ant be an anteatereatingant? Then picture that anteatereatingant beeing eaten by an anteater...

Whatever their leadership is at the time (i.e. you can choose which one to use).

As an addition to this, Doom of Malan'tai can drain life from fearless units as well, because it's not a morale check, but a leadership test... Right? I heard this somewhere and thought that it was interesting.

Correct. Fearless lets you automatically pass Morale and Pinning Tests, nothing else.

I feel like this just makes fearless a far larger negative than it does a positive. In a very general sense i have noticed fearless units are CC based so being able to stand and shoot always doesnt help much. And the negatives would be no retreat wounds, as opposed to a lysander army where everything is stubborn and passes morale on 10's.

You can never be overrun or fallback if you are fearless. I once played a game where Dante joined with a squad of veteran assault Marines suffered a couple of wounds and then fell back off the table counting as destroyed. Fearless units remove a lot of randomness from an army and that is always a big plus. The only negative to being fearless is losing an assault and having to take armor saves dues to the No Retreat rule.... This could be really bad if you are playing an army with poor armor saves such as Nidz or orks can lose the assault by a large margin... It can basically double the number of wounds you suffered in close combat.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
