Simple question, are these three still legal? Would you allow them?

I believe their rules and points are balanced around 6th edition, so I'd say friendly play sure why not, tournie or campaign play not so much.

I don't even think GW has the rules still up for them. I miss Black Goblin and the old website.

Since their entire army book is costed for 6 Edition, I'm not sure how much of a problem that would be.

I believe even in 6th they were 'with your opponents permission'

Wasn't that true for all special characters? or was that just 40k?

A lot of the ones in the books didn't need permission (I'd almost say all the ones in the book don't need permission) but the online additions (usually updates to old characters) weren't 100% legal/playtested so they were 'with permission'

I'm not sure what you mean as High Elves being costed at 6th edition, unless you are still playing with 6th edition rules and books with your local gamers.

All current special characters do not require permission, all online 6th ed ones did as well as a few printed ones.

All three seem a bit over powered. I can say that if I was asked if it was okay, and them allowed to change my list accordingly, I wouldn't mind too much (so long as it wasn't a regular thing!).

Durthu is in the current book, isn't he? Solves one problem, I'd think.

As for the other two, strictly speaking, no.

My bad, got Ariel mixed up with the High Elves queen.

A treeman Ancient is, and with spites you can kit it out to be similar to Durthu for about 100 less points, but you lose out on 'One Tree Short of a Forest' and 'Treewhack', you can somewhat get 'Unburden of Thieflings' but you lose the 'Transmutation of lead' effect.

You can somewhat make Skaw the Falconer as well, but you lose his falcons and pay about 70 points less.

Opponent's permission only. They were made in 6th, when GW was starting to move over to the "special characters are okay in regular games" stance, but the online ones were specifically stated to require permission.
