If I cast a upkeep on a beast, for instance rhyas'Rapport on a carnivean, can the carnivean then also use it's animus on itself?

Or can rhyas cast both the upkeep and the animus on the beast?

I am thinking that an animus and a upkeep can be on 1 model, but I am not sure.

On that note can I cast 2 animus on the same beast? (for instance tenacity and spiny growth?)

Hopefully you can answer me quickly, as I have a game comming up tonight in which I plan to use absylonia and a carnivean with godmode and spiny growth could be interesting...

A model can only be affected by one friendly upkeep spell and one friendly animus at a time.

So Rapport/Playing God and Spiny Growth on the Carnivean is fine, but Tenacity and Spiny Growth is not. The second animus cast, will overwrite the first one. This is not dependant on who casts the spells; Absylonia can cast both Playing God and Spiny Growth, and that would still be legal, but her casting both animi is still not legal.

It did not come up last time, but For using abby I think it will, as her beasts get free upkeeps.

In my previous game I used Rhyas and did not use the carnivean's animus and Rapport at the same time, but Abbys upkeeps are much more usefull, so they will be cast and freely upkept the entire time...

I am curious about the furymanagement I will be using tonight, but maybe I will put up a battrep tomorrow with some questions on that...

Oh, please do. It's always interesting to see how other people do with a faction you play yourself.
If you can't play against a lot of different people and get first-hand experiences, then at least a battle report might inspire you to try something new yourself
