Just wondering if anybody could tell me the range on Wind of Chaos? I've read the chaos dex 3 times and can't for the life of me see a range listed anywhere. Is it line of sight basically?

Also, I'm assuming it uses the small blast template?

In 40K terminology, (except where codex writers stuff it up) 'Template' refers to the teardrop-shaped template used for flamers and the like. The round ones are blast markers, not templates. At least, that's the distinction made in the core rules.

So when something is listed as firing as a template weapon, it uses the teardrop shaped marker and fires in exactly the same way as a flamer.

Anyway, these two gentlemen have it correct. I thought it meant the small blast template when I first started using it before I read the 'dex again. The LOS issue is interesting; the entry for template weapons doesn't explicitly say you need LOS to your target, So I assume you could indeed just shoot it through rocks and what not.

Fix'd again. It's correctly referred to as a Blast Marker in the Dark Eldar codex of all places!
