hallo all

as you can see this is my first post here, i seen the online count and it looks good :p, anyway here is a army list of mine, please tell me what needs impovements:

60 boys
*4 big shoota
*2 nob
*2 bosspole
*2 power claw

Remember boyz mobs cannot exceed 30 per unit, so your going to have to split that unit of 60 in half, and hopefully give each a nob with bosspole and powerklaw (pole for helping rerole morale saves when low on boyz and klaw for popping vehikles and other things).

What will the boyz be carrying as a weapon? It makes a big difference if it is sluggas and choppas or shootas (I suggest shootas).

That lonely Battlewagon will also be vulnerable out there in a 200 point game, but technically with a kff Big Mek inside and behind the kan wall, it shouldn't matter too much. Still, for the point investment, maybe a third squad of boys should be invested in.

just taking a quick look, your boys squad point cost is calculated wrong as far as i can tell.

30 boys (180)
w/ 2 big shootas(10)
30 boys (180)
w/ 2 big shootas nob(10) bosspole(5) power klaw(25)

thats total 420 not 400

IMO i would drop the big mek with the shock attack gun, and all your big shoots. i thinks its a turn wasted to fire off a big shoots instead of running your whole squad d6 inches.
i would add a 2nd nob into your 2nd boy squad with a power klaw and boss pole.
i would also add some kind of bullet cushion for your boys, like a cheap squad of gretchins in front of them so they can get a 4+ cover save, because i doubt you can hide your army behind 3 killa cans.
also the power klaw on the big mek to me seems a waste because from my experience if your getting into close combat with your big mek, hell get ripped apart before he can strike. 2 wounds, t4, s4+ isnt great on an independent character.


EDIT: when you expand to 1500, your army is looking like a can wall, you could also add a deffdread in as a troop instead of a heavy support choice since you chose a big mek as an HQ choice. ALSO, as far as i can tell having that battle wagon and 6 more killa cans would exceed the normal limit for 3 heavy support, bringing it to a total of 4.

thanks for your reply's, i know i gotta make the boys 2 units, but the big mek is supposed to lead the boys squad (number 2 ), whould it maby be a good idea to replace the shokk attack gun with a kff? and i can replace 2 kans with a deff dread, shouldnt be a problem

you dont need 2 kff, it has a 6 inch range meaning it can affect your whole 1000pt army if properly placed.

your setup could look something like this

.....BBB.....KKK......

if you cant iterpret that diagram ill explain it, the B's on the left are your boys squad withih 6 inches of the big mek (BM). the big mek is hiding behind the cans providing them the kff bonus as well. your boys are also hiding behid the cans, and your lootas are either in cover or behind your army for cover.

another nob in the 2nd squad will be cheap and just as effective if not more effective than that big meks power klaw. if you dont feel it will be enough, trade out the big mek for a warboss

Don't add 1 wagon. It is fragile. And not fit with the rest of your army at all.

More kans, more boyz, more lootas. And several koptas would help.

In the Webway.

You definetly need a warboss in there IMO. I would ride it with 19 boyz in that wagon you mentioned (which, btw i dont think is fragile, especially protected by a KFF), or maybe 18 with a big mek too (KFF of course).

That leaves you 40 boyz, split these into 2 units of 20, this gives you three good sized units. I would also drop 5 lootas and get some deffkoptas.

Also if you drop the gretchin and the HS choices you have an instant 1000pt force. I reccomenf the two units of boyz being one shoota (add a big shoota here) and one slugga, i couldn't be bothered listing them seperatley.

The idea is that the warboss and the 18 boyz go in the BW (there's also room for the Mek if you want to). They, along with the koptas, will go forward and do some krumpin'/distracting, they will cause a good amount of death. If you want you can put the KFF mek in there too but i reccomend keeping him behind to protect your foot slogging units. If you make one unit of 20 boyz shoota you have a lot of good fire power between the kans, lootas and shoota boyz. I threw the gretchin in there as a points filler and objective grabber, just sit them on an objective.

thanks for the help, but i have 2 difficulties here:

-the battlewagon can only carry 12 models, as it has a killkannon (glued onto it with metal glue)
-the greatchins are uncool, (lol)

nah but what do you advice me to change in this list if i have a killkannon on my wagon? since it cant be removed without doin some serious "battle demage" to the battlewagon

How about 11 Burnaboyz to go with a KFF Bigmek? That is a lot of heavy hitting and makes the BW something to move along with the boyz mobz. Nothing like 11 Templates or 11 powerweapons to ruin someone's day.

hmm not a bad idea, but whouldnt my battlewagon (165 points) be shot down in 5 seconds as soon as he gets close to the enemy? even more because cover saves wont work in cc :p

ehm could somebody help me out a bit? since my parents wil let me buy for like 300-500 worth of models (it'll be something in between, they are not entirely sure yet, but i will get a LOT of models) so i wanted to get almost the entire army. any stuff i should really improve? and how about the gitz instead of the loota's?
