Subject: drop pod question?

I've been searching and cant find an answer, so I am hoping someone can help, I know a drop pod cant use a teleport homer, its in the name "teleport", pretty self explanatory even without the rule book and codex. My question, can a drop pod use a locator beacon, which broadcasts geo positional data, to land without scattering? Thanks.

Yes, as long as it is within 6" of the beacon.

Thanks, do you, by chance, know where I can find that in writing, so it doesn't become an issue at my next tournament when I use scout bikes and locators to put pods exactly where I want them? my entire build revolves around getting into my opponents lines as fast as possible.

I think it's in the wording of the locator beacon in the wargear section.. Doesn;t it say something to the affect of "all deepstriking units" whereas the teleport homer specifies "units in Terminator armor"?

Yep, Teleport only effects Terminators. Locator Becon effects all of your deep striking stuff. As long as it was on the table at the start of the turn (if you were thinking of trying to use the DP's own loctor beacon to make it not scatter).

Uh, not exactly true. It has to be your own beacon within 6". I just don't want to see another, Chaos SM can use the SM becaon or a Pink Sm using a neon green's SM beacon.

Not gonna do anything squirley, just trying to minimise scatter by infiltrating a locator and podding a dread to it to support the gating librarian and termies.
