I quit playing WH40k like seven or eight years ago, but now that I actually have income and people to play against I figured it was as good a time as any to get back into it.

Looks pretty solid to me. Nice and lean and you can handle pretty much anything. 3 tanks. 45 scoring squishies. A little mobility.

My only quibble is to switch that HB for an AC. The CCS would benefit from the extra range, as they will likely be behind the gunline. Also, one extra shot won't help the army as much as the strength and AP of a fourth AC, this one BS4. IMO.

Fun and Fluff for the Win!

This is exactly the same list that I derived after two years of playing Guard. This is an excellent list! The only change I'd make personally, besides swapping out the H. Bolter for an Autocannon, would be to swap the Executioner for a normal Battle Tank with Heavy Bolter sponsons. It's a good, all rounder tank, and can take on almost any target, and is slightly better for engaging vehicles because of the Ordinance rule and extra strength. As a plus, it will put the hurt on hordes and the like, with 9 heavy bolter shots (and maybe a heavy stubber for kicks) and a doomplate. This, of course, depends on your local enemies; if you're fighting a Wolf-Deathwing army (Logan Grimnar + Wolf Guard), Deathwing, or anything with 2+ armor saves, then the Executioner might be better.

Good luck! I'd love to throw this list against my similar one.
