Are mounts considered as part of the unit?
Stupidity is part of Psychology, right?
The Pearl of Infinite Bleakness grants the character and his unit Immune to Psychology. So does that mean I can use it to make my cold one knights not stupid?

No.
I could look up the answer, but I know this has been brought up before. Search fu the forum and I'm sure you'll find it.

Aerethan's right, though here's a little reference to help: Page 53, BRB. Immune to Psychology means you automatically pass Panic, Fear, and Terror tests, and are not auto-broken by fear. Furthermore, you may not flee a charge.

Thanks to both. I found that other post too. Oh well, it was nice for the 2 minutes I thought about it.

Cold ones are only truly reliable with lizardmen. Cold blooded plus Ld8 comes out to something like a 97% success rate.

You're best off taking the Banner of Cold Blood. You only get to use it once, but it's always when you MOST need to charge that you inevitably fail your stupidity test.

Ld9 isn't exactly unreliable and when the whole unit is only 135pts when taken bare it's not really a huge investment going short bus on you. It is pretty obnoxious when they go Stupid right what you want them to charge, but I'd rather put the 31pts elsewhere.
Lizardmen Cold One Cavalry pay a high premium for cold blooded, T4 and double attacks being 40pts more expensive than our Knights, and they're only S5 on the charge where we are S6. They do have access higher value magic banners, but the champion can't get magic items. Seems like a wash.

ItP is still called tht to maintain compatibility with 6th ed army books - it changed massively in editions so you are correct that, if you were playing 6th edition ruleset (with a 7th edition armybook, but forget that for a minute!) then the Pearl would do exactly what you said - you would not longer suffer from Stupidity.

Or hatred, but that's never the question that gets asked by the new Dark Elf players toying with builds.

We try to downplay our WS5 Knights with Hatred that are significantly cheaper than most comparable heavy cavalry as much as possible.
