Hi! I just research on the forum, but I can't find any solution of my problem.

A week ago, I just play my Khorne army for the first time. I played a Battle Standard Bearer with the Icon: Banner of Unholy Victory. Here's my point, A BSB add +1 to combat resolution (it's the rules). The Icon add +D3 combat resolution. So, am I supposed to add 1+D3 combat resolution or only +D3 c.r. ?

The other point is, the Icon said exactly: "This banner add +D3 combat resolution". In fact, I'm thinking it's 1+D3, because the icon is add to the BSB, it's not said that you lose the BSB ability when you take this icon. Maybe I'm wrong but I can't find any FAQ or Erratum from the website who can help me to resolve that problem. Thanks for your help!

Magic items are in addition to standard rules. You get D3+1.

Another way to look at it is that you count the BSB bonus and banner bonus separately.

What do you mean by count seperatly?

meaning don't consider them as the same bonus. Count your ranks, flank etc, then count the BSB bonus, and lastly the banner bonus.

When I calculate bonuses I put a dice with that number down by the unit, so a 3 for ranks, 1 for a standard 1 for outnumber and so on. This way each item is calculated separately, and for things that are tied such as standards or ranks, you simply remove those dice.
