I must ask this of some other players are chaos knights 40 pt apice or just 40 pts for 5 of them because I have a buddy who's trying to use the as 40 pt for all 5 of them. He then sighted the fact he had to pay for his command and mark and banner at a cost of 125. I told him i didn't think he was right considering I'm paying 35 each for my coldones. So I figured I would as you guys.

there is no way he'd get 5 knights for 40pts, its 40pts each, and the command is 125 points of upgrades. so 5 knights (200) with command (125) = 5 models at 325 points.

Thanks a whole bunch you have been a great help. That's what I had thought but was not sure and it makes more sense for them to be pointed like the cold ones in my army. Well now to convince him to re-point his army the right way. thanks again.

That is hilarious. I just checked the book and noticed that a lot of the other units list points/model, but Chaos Knights just say "points".

Ask him how much they cost each if he wants to increase the size of the unit beyond 5.

By his reasoning, you actually get 5+ for 40 points. So he could have 4 gajillionty knights in one unit for 40 points.

I know what army I'm starting next...
