Ok , so i went and bought the strongest cleaner in the store o_o the minute i spray it on the minis the
paint already starts bleeding off yay!

So it says i must wear gloves to protect my hand , but

What if i just spray water on them before scrubbing? will i still need glove?

Or should i scrub without spraying them with water first?

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

The gloves are to keep the chemicals off of your skin. Washing with water won't do that. I suggest buying a pair of those dishwashing gloves and using them.

Oh i have them , i just dont like the sensation of wearing them T-T

But if the water doesnt take the chemical off , wont it effect the primer in the future?

it likely will take the chemicals off, but it'll take more that simply spraying it with waterm if that's how you mean.

I'd be tempted to place them under a tap for a minute or so to get all the chemicals off, if you are adamant about not using gloves.

I used glove and went to check on them , the foam seems to have evaporated and with that , it stopped been effective -_-

So i rinsed them a little , and scrubbed to see if the paint "layers off" no it didnt... so i resprayed them.

Perhaps no more spray type next time >< ( i bought foam spray oven cleaner ! )

It depends what you use. IF you use like super clean it's only an irratant and if you do it fast enough meaning only a couple of models it's not that bad but if you have like 50 models to do you need gloves to get through some and wash your hands well after to avoid drying and what not.

That is sonething you REALLY don't want to get on your skin, it can turn your fat into a sort of "Soap".

He meant washing with water means the chemicals are already on you, not the tank.

Well that was interesting... decided to continue scrubbing the minis in shower after i shower .
Now there are cuts and skin peeling off my finger -_- I think some of my hair fell off too when the scrubbing flicked some on my head...

Not worth the effort for me :'/

So you get the "strongest" solvent you can find in some store and expect it WON'T harm your skin? Really? Read the label! Follow the warnings! Solvents can be really nasty and eat all of the moisture and fat in the top layers of your skin or worse chemically burn you!

Seriously, use your head and wear the appropriate protective gear!

Oven cleaner is nasty stuff and absolutely requires gloves. Think of it this way, you know that hard-as-a-rock grease that is baked onto the inside of your oven. Oven cleaner is made to break that stuff off. Not using gloves with oven cleaner is quite simply, irresponsible.

I only use it on metal models that have been painted with enamel paints. I put the model in a jar, spray on the oven cleaner set the top on and leave it overnight. The next morning I put the jar under the faucet, let it fill up with water and run for a while. Then I still use gloves when I take a scrub brush to the miniature. The paint usually comes right off.
