Subject: Space Marine in Inquisitor Retinue?

If this is possible then this is a question, otherwise its a proposal.
I want to add an Inquisitor and small retinue to My BA force. But I would like to have a SM in the retinue, as a assigned bodyguard who is from the chapter but travels with the Inquisitor. I think this would help it tie into my force and it kinda seems right that an inquisitor would have a big burly space marine following him around. Plus it would be an amazing conversion opportunity.
Unfortunately I can only really think of adding him as a warrior, which means he has to have an awful statline.
Any suggestions?
Much Love

You'll want to use a Deathwatch Space Marine then. The common scheme is black with right shoulderpad of the originating chapter. I prefer to have the whole right arm in the chapter colors as well as some chapter specific "trinkets" such as tassels, trinkets, icons, etc. As far as the stat line, you'll want to buy a common tactical marine and then get Terminator Honors for him.

Another way to do it would be to take an Inquisitor and then attach an IC of your own, and it would be meaty.

You could allie a SM captain and attach him to the unit.
I think most gaming groups would be ok with you putting a sterngaurd (deathwatch) in a ret, and calling it a 30p warrior model. (or normal sm for 20p)

This could be fun.
Sort out an appropriate level (Tac, Sergeant, Sternguard, cap) sort out some points costs and wargear upgrades and try it out.
I see 'quistors more joining marine squads or chapters for the duration rather than the other way round but there could be circumstances when this changes.

You could have the SM as the Inquisitor.

Thanks for the input.
I quite like the death watch Idea, but im not upto speed with the rules and how you can include them
I also wondered that under current Blood Angels Rules, I could Take a Death coompany Model and have him conveniently near by, But then he would just run off and get killed with out a chaplain nearby. and he would have to be armed with a CCW and Bolt Pistol.
But this may all change In April with New BA. We shall see.
What is Deathwatches statline? is it the same as a veteran?
