For all intensive purposes it is god of war but with different characters and settings. Blatant rip-off aside, I actually find it a rather good game. I get the feeling though that it won't be anything more than the game that holds me over until god of war.

I like it. Simply because it's a god of war but I like the setting more.

What made God of War so fantastic? To me the God of War franchise has always been just an above average hack and slash and I got the same feeling towards Dante's Inferno. I will simply wait until the price drops and pick it up when I can get my monies worth.

NOT HAVING PLAYED IT...I am extremely bothered by this game. MAking a game out of a classic piece of literature is a fine idea, kicking the gak out of it and ignoring all of the actual points of the work is not.

In a Society in which there is no law, and in theory no compulsion, the only arbiter of behaviour is public opinion. But public opinion, because of the tremendous urge to conformity in gregarious animals, is less tolerant than any system of law. When human beings are governed by "thou shalt not", the individual can practise a certain amount of eccentricity: when they are supposedly governed by "love" or "reason", he is under continuous pressure to make him behave and think in exactly the same way as everyone else.

I got this on NetFlix because I'm writing a gaming blog and wanted to start playing more recent games to get a handle on what's being produced, and also to flex my review-writing muscles.
I'm about 7 hours into the game, just got through the Violence level...and it's a chore to get through it. I finally understand why being a game reviewer could actually become work.
All I want is to get through this damned game so I can play something else.
