hi guys...
im gona do a local tournment here in portugal soon, and i was debating wtih some friends of mine about some rulles i dont know what to do!
here´s my doubt´s
1 - Greyknights forceweapons do outright kill in the dex´s, imune characters or models to instadeath are imune to outright from the FW of the GK?
2 - The famose Doom of malan´tai and his 6" 3d6 psiquic test´s against units insid vehicles? does it works in units inside transport´s?
3 - Asurman says that in CC he reroll all loses - to hit? to wound? or the 2?
Please let know how you guys do in your tournements because i will be the person responsable for the organization and must have a solution for that type of questions!
im have made my mind about smokes and the use of POTMS (power of the machine spirit) to shot trought then, i will not allowed that! Here we have decide that a vehicle that in the same turn uses is smoke lauchers cannot shot one weapon with is POTMS.
help me please ... there´s no Faq´s to this i must obtain logical answers.

The INAT FAQ would probably serve you well if you're looking for an overarching set of rule calls. I will answer question 1 for you. Yes, the GKGM does kill Eternal Warriors with his Force Weapon, because that's what it says in the codex. If I were tournament attendee running Daemonhunters and had my FW nerfed, I would expect other pieces of wargear and units (such as Storm Shields and Rhinos) to also be standardised using the 'current' wargear rules.

1. By RAW the GK weapon will kill models with ET (because it didn't exist when the codex was written). However it is extremely unlikely that a TO would rule this way here in the UK. Due to the age of the codex it makes sense to use the weapon in the same way as other force weapons. 2. By RAW it does effect units in transports. However this is a very contentious issue. The way I look at it: is that Farseer in a Wave serpent effected by a psychic hood if he's within 24" of a Libby? I don't see why you have a different answer to that than to the Doom. Even ruling this way he is of dubious value as he's so easy to kill and the short range of his attack means the opponent can just spread to stop him doing much. So don't worry about it OPing the unit. 3. He re-rolls misses which is missed hits. Failed wounds are just that failed rolls to wounds they are not misses. This may just be an issue with the translation or language. If you have any other headaches and questions a good place to start is the INAT FAQ. Ignore their ruling for Hive Commander because it is totally ludicrous and intentionally throws both RAW and RAI out the window but in general they make good workable rulings and it is a good place to start. I Disagree 100% here. Rules are rules. If you do this, then you should let them Have new Storm Shields.

I Disagree 100% here. Rules are rules. If you do this, then you should let them Have new Storm Shields.
Fair enough I've never played with or against GKs in a Tournament and that is how we rule it in friendly games. And given the other response above it seems fair to rule it this way.
Where do you stand on the Doom's unvulnerable save? Tyranid close combat weapons not doing anything? The monolith gaining shots with every weapon destroyed results? Yriel's spear doing nothing... etc etc etc
After all rules are rules.

I also disagree Flingitnow - I've had a couple tournaments with DH recently, and each time the TO has 100% correctly ruled that EW is no protection from DH Force Weapons. This was also how UK GT HEat 2 was ruled, if memory serves.
Remember that in 4th *all* force weapons bypassed Etermal Warrior or "immune to ID" as it was not Instant Death. DH forceweapons still do as their codex states they do.

Nos is right. The reason being is that no FAQ has been released against it. Being that i am an avid Grey knight player i love the fact that the codex hasnt been updated. NOT! The answer to question 2 is yes it affects anyone and everyone in that area. and the answer to number three is he can re-roll failed to hit rolls not failed to wound.

is where it is located here on Dakka, Gwar had a very nifty Wiki version of said FAQ with a bit of His/Her(No offense Gwar, but I've never seen evidence of either gender so I don't want to assume) own edits, so if you can get that, it is a bit more fluid then the PDF version.

Just a reminder, if you decide to use a FAQ other than the GW ones, you should always let your players know in advance.
