I finally finished the peice I've been asking all the questions about. I haven't had the time to take all of your advice, but it still turned out very nice! Pictures are in the My Terrain Folder in my section of the gallery. Comments Please!

I think you did a great job, but the paint bottle still looks like a paint bottle.

Some nice stuff there, and I agree about the paint pot. It needs some detailing like a stove pipe or the like to disguise it some more.

Well next time.. just turn it upside down. mabye add some rivits around the upper rim. For this as is I would add a soda bottle cap right in the middle of the paint jar lid with some broken tubes comming out if it. Most of it looks good. My only criticizm is that the peice with the crashed chimera on it is too cluttered to move minis over it, unless its supposed to be impassable terrain then its spot on.

It's impassable. I don't have any barricades or the like in my city, so I wanted some things for my troops to hide behind.

Lookin' good !!!

I really like the grittiness of the ruins and I really need to personalize mine with posters and numbers like you show. Nice details there !!

The ruined tank looks good and is ideal impassible / cover for your troops. I'd suggest roughing it up a bit more because the blast to blow the side track assembly off like that wouldn't have left the edges so clean. Maybe add / define some scortch / soot marks as well. Have you read any threads about painting chipped paint? Try that using a bit of blister pack foam to really rough up the tank's finish. If you still have the tracks laying around I'd add that to detail up the piece a bit more, too. Maybe show some still wound around the wheels before the track "band" came unravelled in the blast.

I agree with the others that the paint bottle looks too bottle-like still. No big deal though ... nothing a few bendy straws and plastic coffee stirs can't fix up. Inverting it is a good idea, too.

The trick is taking every-day items and retooling and scaling them so they don't look the same in your terrain. You'll get it ... you should have seen my first soup can terrain - washing never did get that clam chowder smell out of it, either !!!

I would agree that the tank needs a little more working over, and a few gubbins on the paint bottle would certainly help disguise it.

Otherwise, looking great.

This is my second board, I used only cardboard, and maybe, a couple pieces of Foam for a few smaller pieces but they aren't good enough to put up pictures of, I used them for home gaming manly, but there is ALOT of it.l I can almost fill my 5 1/2' x 5 1/2' board base to base if I use all the terrain (which makes for a REALLY fun game) thanks, for all the comments guys! My only friend that played with me just had a baby and we haven't played in two months now. I wanna break in the new terrain so bad! But I know the time will come.
