Subject: Drop Pod Base Size? 3" or 5"?

Angry Blood Angel Assault marine

I made some Tyranid Mycetic Spores & they're about 3" to 3.5" wide, I heard that they should be at least close to SM drop pods in size and I was wondering if they're about 3" or 5" wide. The owner of the hobby store I play at thought it was 5" but I've been googling it & some say 3", any1 got one handy?

There is no base size for either. If you think a carnifex could fit in your pod, then it's a good size.

mines about .5" wider than a carnifex and about 1" taller, so I think I'm good then.

i'd be fine with using the normal monstrous creature base (60mm). they're not described as super bulky like the mawloc or trygon and they can only fit one carni (and if nature is any inspiration, it'd be a snug coccoon fit) so the carni/tyrant base is best IMHO. i say go with the 60mm one.
