Why hello there! This is a progress thread on my Imperial Guard army I call Shenanigans Brigade. It started as a joke with my friends I play DOW with. I bought my army off my friend who got me started in DOW because he was in need of money. Without further adieu, Shenanigans Brigade so far:

I have 7 Lemans Russes: 4 Battle Tanks, 2 Exterminators and 1 Demolisher.
1 Basilisk, 2 Chimeras
And about 100 infantry models. Of which only about 30 are painted to my scheme.

C&C welcome.

The color scheme is certainly unique. I half expect SM or WH to come charging out from behind those vehicles.

Looks like you're missing some bits on your tanks.

Any thoughts on using some washes to bring out the details and add some depth to the vehicles? They look a bit flat.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

One of the tank's hull mounted weapon top broke off and I lost it somewhere. The exterminator turret is missing a hatch but I do have one, just haven't painted it and glued it on yet. The basilisk didn't come with the rail, I bought it pre-assembled off ebay for $15 dollars so I'm not to worried about that. I got the tanks 3rd hand but I got the 7 tanks, 2 chimeras and fable 2 for 60 dollars, So i'm not complaining.

I don't have much extra cash right now, but I do plan to do a little more work on them, I'm not the best painter, yet

I hope the infantry will be in bright parade dress as well. They remind me of several Mordian Armoured Units I saw way back when. Personally I'd tend to go for a heavily weathered look on my tanks but thats just me.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Double post. Uh wait, it's gone. Dang. This thread must be tainted by the Warp!

You can eat off of Mordian tanks. They're anal-retentive about cleanliness. This color scheme is somewhat reminiscent of them but I get more of a Thousand Sons feel from the colors.

If you want to replace the top part of that Leman Russ hull weapons mount, find someone that bought the LR accessory sprue, which GW sells separately now. That sprue includes all of the pieces you need.

@JB
Then the shenanigans must be working

@Llamahead
Sadly, Mordians are to expensive for me, but I would love to have them. They'd fit perfectly.

Because I don't have enough special or assault weapons, I painted the tops of their lasguns blue so look like plasma guns for when I play with my friends they let me substitute them. I think they look bad ass with the blue top. I also shortened the barrel because the the protruding part made the lsaguns weak looking. Now they kind of look like assault rifles.

This guy is pure lulz. He came with the gunner's head missing. My friend dared me to stick a lego head on. I did I think he looks pretty bad @$$

A collection of guys.

I got a little carried away with grassing my models and made a tiny piece of terrain for $H!Ts and Giggles.
