I have a question concerning the rules for having a Tyranid Prime in a Tyranid Warrior brood. The battle set for the Tyranid came with 3 warriors, and my friend has made one to be a Tyranid prime. In his codex it says that a Tyrnaid warrior brood must be a minimum of 3 warriors, but the Tyranid prime is considered an HQ choice and a IC and would be separate from that unit correct? So would if he wanted to include his prime with his warriors does he need at least 3 warriors and the prime as well or would the prime count as part of his warrior brood? I would assume he would need 3 warriors and the prime but I figured I would seek the wisdom of YMDC haha.

warrior brood .. troop choice 3 models ...tyranid prime....hq.. one model ..... total 4 models

You need 3 warriors and 1 Prime.

Sorry to sorta revive a closed topic, but I'm not quite up to date with the new 'nids.

What exactly is a Tyranid prime?
I think it's a particularly large warrior thats got the capability to control through synapse, but am I missing anything on this?

Unfortunately the answer to that is: get the codex, it tells you there.

It is a larger warrior that can pass benefits tot he unit, as well as being a Synapse creature.
