Hey guys,
At my local GW we're all getting prepped by making 200 point lists.
Its 0-1 Troop 0-1 Elite 0-1 Fast Attack, and 200 points total and those are the only stipulations I know.
You also give 3 models one USR (can't stack on one model and can't use the same USR multiple times)
My idea is a Legion of the Damned squad:
Sergeant: Power Weapon - Furious Charge
1x Damned Legionnaire: Meltagun - Tank Hunters
1x Damned Legionnaire: Heavy Bolter - Move Through Cover
2x Damned Legionnaire: Bolters
What do you think?
My main concerns:
They are slow and purposeful so that could really slow things down. However it does save me from giving a relentless USR.
Aid un-looked for could also mess things up with deep strike mishaps.
Quick question:
Does Slow and Purposeful apply to assault as well?
Thanks Dakka

S&P does apply to assaults.
_____________
The model count is low. And face it, they are still just MEQ durability wise with respect to small arms...which is prob. the majority of the damage dealing Kill Team will focus on.
I prob. will be a fun/themed list for Kill Team, but it's not like a cutthroat list IMO. .

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Why would you take Tank Hunters in a 200 point game?

@Tony:
From what the redshirt at the store told me and the way we were playing:
- Each model moves, shoots, and assaults as an individual unit
- Models can split their shots at different enemy models. (Say a SM scout is firing a heavy bolter, it shoot at up to three things)
- Models in assault with more than one enemy model can split their attacks similar to the shooting rules
- No HQ or Heavy Support Choices
- Once either Kill Team is under half points it must start taking leadership tests at the highest surviving member's leadership at the beginning of each turn with a -1 modifier on subsequent turns. I'm not sure about this part, but I think failing the leadership test results in a loss.
- Unless there are more iterations, it is a simple annihilation mission with the rules above.
@Kendowned:
I've also been thinking of an alternative list with a drednought and scouts...haven't fully hashed it out yet.
@Sanctjud:
I know what you mean. I just wanted to get thoughts on this list, but yeah, it will be mostly a fun list.
@General_Chaos:
I was back and forth on it, but there are 2 guys I know for sure in our local group that are running vehicles of some sort. One is running a dreadnought and the other is running a sentinel squadron. And of course you declare the USRs at the time of the game so it can always be changed. I took it to help increase the chance of killing whatever vehicle/walker there is.
Thanks for the help so far!

The old Kill Team game I remember didn't allow vehicles. It was all infantry, with a restriction on 2+ saves, invulnerable saves, etc.
Sounds like a neat mission they have up there. Would you mind posting the full rules (if the synopsis above isn't complete already)? I like really small games for lunchtime events, and I'd love to hear more about this one.
