Hello everyone. Yesterday I was really bored so I decided to work on it some more, and I have pictures for you. I only have enough materials to make one, so I am making it in such a fashion that I can make a mold and cast it out of resin. Its almost completely custom, so GW shouldnt whine about casts.
The pictures arent the greatest, but you can see what counts. I built it in two halves that are flat on one side to make molding easier. I used Leman russ tracks for the "wheel" parts and a SM Bike as part of the insides, you can see what is grey plastic. I got the idea from someone on 'yesthetruthhurts.com' only he used a doom wheel. My gaming group and I decided that the only poor thing about that idea what the wooden aspect of the doom wheel. So I made one that felt a little more "41st millenium" and this is what I have so far. Have a look.
I think its really lacking around the outside of the track area, the big white ring. I am looking for suggestions to break up this area.
I have something for the inside, above the handlebars, I just don't have the provisions for all of the thunderwolves, so I must cast those pieces out of resin as well.
So, let me know what it needs and whether or not you like it. Thanks.

Looking good so far...wondering what you might do to the current inner white circle so that it doesn't look so bare.
Get some cool wires going every which way or something?
I like the dual/single wheel.-Because it means it can actually turn. (One wheel accelerates faster than the other, or one rotates backwards...just makes more sense than one wheel.)

Add rivets along the outside. It wouldn't have hurt to do it in segments either to break up the dullness. However, another tip is to add either some pelts around it, some iconography when painted, or just something wolf-like. By biggest miff though is the lack of rivets and segments. I think both of those would make the ring pop more.
Though I do quite like that conversion. Definitely something I could see used, especially as a 'counts as' SW list.

I agree. Add rivets, and maybe some SW iconography. They have some good SW armor plates in the GW Drop Pod kit.

Armor plates = Orkish.
Segmented armor on the outside would look right though.

Alright, I can do segmented plates. Also, I was sticking away from SW icons because I play Angry Marines, counts as SW's, so I was going to make them generic and add some icons later on. Thanks for the input, and keep it coming, I'll post some more pictures when I've made some progress.

What is Thunderwolfy about this? It looks cool, but what makes it Wolfy?
How do riders see where they are going?
I mean, as a conversion. It looks really good, but I just don't see Space Wolves.

It reminds me of an old south park episode. Although your design looks alot less painful.

Yeah... Images of the " IT" and the flexi-grip handles are a little too close on this one. It's still a cool concept though. I'd like to see some scope-lenses on the sides in the front, and maybe a vid-screen from a rhino or LR inside, so at least he's got a way to see forward! Maybe a gyro bit somewhere behind the rider, too.
You could get away with a dozer blade on the front with bocage-cutter prongs; there's a precedent for that in IG so it wouldn't be too chaos-y. You gotta have some cuttin' bits on there, or I would have a raised eyebrow as to why that thing gives you +1 strength and attack.

It runs someone over. That's your +1 attack. It crushes you to death with it's massive weight. That's your +1 strength.

I'm guessing he's going the 'counts as' route here?
And really, it probably better off than a Space Marine RIDING A WOLF!
