Had to share this from the tournament this weekend.

I had a Bloodthirster with 2d6+2 attacks, reroll misses, and 3+ armor. Along with 5 Fleshhounds of Khorne, charged into 18 Saurus Warriors, with Spears, Standard, and BSB attached. I rolled a 7 for my attacks, giving me 9 on the charge.

What would you think a realistic outcome of this would be?

Bet you don't come up with the Daemons losing by SEVEN. Then I roll a 10 for the Thirster and pick him up, then it almost didn't matter what I rolled for the lone Hound, he poofed too.

So, I killed 3 Warriors, and he killed a Thirster and 5 hounds......

Ugh.

Beautiful! Does my heart good to see Lizardmen eating Daemons like they should!

Sorry about the massive fail, though. Better luck next time? Maybe the dice gods won't be as mad at you.

That really shouldn't happen. I think you just got very very VERY unlucky.

It doesn't matter what you play, sooner or later the dice just bite you and there isn't a darn thing you can do about it. Just sigh, smile, and take it like a man.

Then challenge him to a rematch later!

He's a good friend of mine, so it was all good in the end. All I could do was shake my head and try to not get tabled completely.

In a recent game of mine a similar... but not quite so epic fail happened to my friend. Was my O&G's vs Empire, 1500 pts a side. In my second turn i send a goblin doom diver at his Knights of the inner circle, 8 strong lvl 2 mage and Captain of the empire (general included). Rolled a 6 for hits killed 5. He rolls a 10. Then rolls an 18 to flee him off the table by an inch.

Say that to my friend. He charged my 12 Dark Elf Spearmen with his Ancient Stegadon. He fluffed all his attacks, i killed all the skinks in the howdah(?), he ran and I chased him down. Ouch...
