So I'm beggining my USMC aiborne unit for IG. I just got 6 valks in the mail today. So my question to you is, whatdo you think would be better, staying the whole sprue catachan green with my spray gun or spraying the model? Thanks

Whole sprue, atleast the exterior parts.
that way you only need to do some touch-ups afterwards.

Almost seems a shame to just blast the whole model a single colour, but on sprue would be easier & quicker, less chance of fingerprints.

Will you be doing additional weathering & detail?

I am sure the green is just a base coat. Correct OP?

Oh god no with all the money I'm investing into this army I wouldn't dream of just making it one plain color. I was just wondering I anyone else had any experience with this. I figure painting sprue will get all those nooks that primering a built model leave undone, but I don't want to do it if there is a substanial beleif that I would make things harder in the long run.

Here's how I did mine:

I primed then painted the interior compartment, then assembled the model. Covered up the doors with tape, then primed the rest of the model.
