Im thinking of turning my 1/35 scale Panzer Tank into a Baal Predator tank all i need is some bolter sponsoons and a pintle mounted storm bolter for the top of the main gun does anybody oppose this idea? im going to leave the shape of the panzer and just add what i need to make it look like a predator tank

A 1/35 Panzer is probably going to be significantly larger than a Predator.

And when you do what you've described, it is going to look like a Panzer with a few bolters glued on.

If that's fine with you, go for it. Ignore the complaints of anyone "opposed" to it.

Just out of curiosity, is there an agreed scale that works well with 40k models?

I have seen a few tanks in shops but it's hard to tell from the box if they would be the right size.

The size that comes the closest is probably 1:48..

I was always told 1/35 scale is what space marines were so i went with that but yeah i like the panzer tank look and with some extra guns on it thats going to look sweet especially in blood red but im undecided on the chapter i want to do i really want to paint them like the blood swords but i cant paint stuff like that that small so i think its going to be a bitch finding those decals so i might just do blood angels

Somewhere in south-central England.

The best size for vehicles is 1/35 otherwise they look too small.

1/48 is good for aircraft, otherwise they are physically too large.

These scales also give you the best choice of kits. 1/35 is the most popular for tank kits and 1/48 for aircraft.

You can do it if you want but trust me it is a waste of money. By the time you have bought the model, bitz and time on putting it together your time and money would have been better spent buying the GW one. Unless you are really good a kitbashing or playing Orks or IG then non-gw model kits do not look good or fit the army.

I am not trying to sound like an but do some more research on dakka and you will see. Trust me you will be alot happier with the GW model in the long run.
